02/29/08 - Pre-Owned Dept. moves into
new location
Our Pre-Owned department this week has begun moving into it's new
location in the old Enterprise Rental Building at the South end of the
property. The move will bring that department closer to the Lease
Retention Center, plus allowing a distinct area for the Pre-Owned
vehicles. This also will make it easier for our Pre-Owned Vehicle
customers to know where to look for vehicles and salespeople. The move
should be completed by the middle of next week.
12/01/07 - Lions
Club needs toys for Christmas
The Richmond Lions Club is again collecting toys for needy children this
Christmas. A toy drop box is be located in the Chrysler showroom where
new, unwrapped toys can be placed. If you would like to donate something
larger, please see Barb Capozzo.
Golf Outing proceeds donated to the Van
Elslander Cancer Center
The employees of Dick Huvaere's Richmond Chrysler -Dodge-Jeep,
Inc. held a golf outing on June 16 at the Selfridge Air National Guard Golf
Course. This is an annual event with the proceeds going to local charities. Janet
Laubach, representing the dealership, presented a check for more than $8,000.00
to the Van Elslander Cancer Center. The funds will be used for needy patients
who are suffering from cancer. The funds were presented in honor of Janet's
sister, Jaclyn V. Hicks, who recently passed away after a long battle with
cancer.

Career Day - 10/16/07
Career Day was hosted by the
dealership on October 16th with the cooperation of the Pankow Center in Mt.
Clemens. Students from the center were introduced to department managers and
exposed to the dealership working environment.
After a power point presentation by Richmond Auto Body assistant, Nick Maluchnik
(L'Anse Cruse High School, Pankow Center and Ferris State Alumni) on continuing
education showcasing Ferris State, students were given a tour of the service and
body shop facility.
Our purpose was to give students the opportunity to explore career possibilities
in the automotive field.
